HUTCHINSON, MN – Neighbors and community leaders from across West Central Minnesota will meet at Faith Lutheran Church in Hutchinson from 9am-12pm on May 21st to learn how they can save energy, save money, and take action to build stronger, healthier communities. The meeting will begin with a tour of the church facility to see the installation of a ground-source heating and cooling system. Meeting participants will learn about the energy and cost savings expected from this system.
The tour will be followed by a presentation on the GreenStep Cities program. GreenStep Cities offers a cost-effective, simple pathway that can lead to cost savings and make your community healthier, greener, and more energy efficient. This action-oriented voluntary program is based on sustainable best practices. Attendees will learn about the basics of the program and how they can take action in their city.
