Lindsay Wimmer joins CERTs

Welcome Lindsay Wimmer, Outreach Coordinator for the Guaranteed Energy Savings Program!

Please welcome Lindsay Wimmer to the Clean Energy Resource Teams! Lindsay will be working with cities, counties, schools, and other local units of government to curb energy use in their buildings through the Guaranteed Energy Savings Program (GESP).

Lindsay comes to CERTs after a year with the Minnesota Army National Guard where she provided education and outreach statewide to 60 Training and Community Centers about their buildings energy use and energy conservation strategies to integrate into building operations as part of Minnesota GreenCorps. She also worked with the MNARNG facility management office to develop a facility-level energy reduction competition, and participate in the development of the MNARNG’s net-zero energy plans.

Prior to that Lindsay worked with the College of Saint Benedict Office of Sustainability to implement the Campus Sustainability Master Plan. With the Sustainability Office, Lindsay assisted with a short term study abroad program in Ecuador to expose students to international resource issues, and spoke at the Women as Global Leader’s Creating a Sustainable Future Conference in the United Arab Emirates to deepen partnerships based on sustainability efforts abroad.

Here’s what Lindsay has to say about starting with CERTs: “I’m very passionate about addressing sustainability issues, and am looking forward to working on technical, community-framed solutions to financing energy efficiency and clean energy projects with people all across our great state of Minnesota.”

Feel free to reach out to Lindsay to introduce yourself, and especially if you’re interested in financing building energy efficiency improvements!
