2009 Symposium on Small Towns

Communities 2050: Building a Livable, Renewable and Responsible Future! will be the theme of the Seventh Annual Symposium on Small Towns, June 2-3, 2009, at the University of Minnesota, Morris. The action-oriented Symposium will focus on rebuilding local economies, educating and motivating communities, capitalizing on political change and celebrating rural living.

This year’s Symposium will be preceded by a conference of Higher Education, May 31-June 1, also to be held on the Morris campus. Participants during the Higher-ed conference will see how the Morris campus has partnered with a local collaboration that includes the USDA North Central Soil Conservation Research Lab and the West Central Research and Outreach Center to create the Green Prairie Alliance.
