Linden Hills Power & Light (LHP&L) a non-profit, community-based environmental organization, has organized a Green Carpet digital video Contest. The showing of the winning films (and others) will be at a “Green Carpet” screening on Thursday October 23rd at 7pm (visit www.lhpowerandlight.org for location).
Entries will focus on one of the following themes:
1. Promoting the Minnesota Energy Challenge;
2. Ways to combat climate change;
3. General environmental themes such as energy conservation, recycling, waste reduction, anaerobic digestion, or recycling organic material.
Amateur and professional videos are equally welcome and monetary prizes will be awarded in three categories. Prizes include a grand prize of $500, three runner-up prizes of $300 and three honorable mention prizes of $150. Individual residents, school groups, camps, college students, artists, videographers, ad agencies, and others with an interest in digital video are encouraged to enter. Entries will be judged on accuracy of information and creativity rather than production values
