NW CERT has pulled together a meeting to share information and resources about the excellent work that professors and students are doing on the Bemidji State University and University of Minnesota-Crookston campuses.

The meeting will be held in the Crying Wolf Room, Lower Student Union, Bemidji State University, Bemidji, MN.

1:00pm – Introductions and opening remarks by CERT steering committee member Anthony Schaffhauser, Executive Director, Center for Research and Innovation (CRI) & Custom College
1:20pm – BSU Professor Anna Carlson will present about CERT-funded Greenhouse Gas inventory project
1:55pm – BSU Sustainability Coordinator Erika Bailey-Johnson will talk about her work on the BSU campus
2:15pm – David A. Bahr, Assoc. Prof., Chair Department of Physics/Science, will talk about the CERTs-funded research they did in 2006 to replace the HVAC system in Suttgast Hall
2:30pm – Break
2:45pm – Linda Kingery, Director of the NW Regional Sustainable Development Partnerships, will introduce the following speakers and touch on various sustainability projects happening at UM-Crookston.
3:00pm – Professor Paul Aakre will talk about the CERT-funded farm-scale biofuel project he is leading
3:25pm – Student Chris Waltz will present on the CERT-funded LEEDing Crookston to a sustainable future
3:45pm – Final thoughts and discussion about on-going projects, including the new Minnesota Schools Cutting Carbon program
4:30pm – Adjourn
