Perrenials for Food and Fuel - Rural Advantage Third Crop Walk-n-Talks

Managing Diversity on the Landscape: Prairie Horizons Farm Tour/3rd Crop Walk-n-Talk 9:00am—12:00pm. Luverne and Mary Jo Forbord rotationally graze Lowline Angus cattle at Prairie Horizons Farm on certified organic pasture, and sell 100% grass-fed Prairie Horizons Beef directly to customers. The morning tour will include a rotational grazing tour and the 3rd crop demonstration—a two
acre plot with over 20 food bearing and ornamental woody species and
several varieties of native grasses. Location: Prairie Horizons Farm, 31008 State Hwy 29, Benson, MN 56381.

Productive Conservation on Working Lands/Pope County Working Lands Initiative Tour: 1:00pm-5:00pm. Featuring rotational grazing systems, multi-species grazing, cooperative grazing, native perennial grasses and legumes for biomass production, invasive species control, native remnant prairies, public/private partnerships, and innovations for increasing the acreage of well-managed, high quality grasslands.

Midwest Algae Commercialization Workshop

Please join Fredrikson & Byron for the first-ever conference focusing on algae opportunities in the Midwest. This is an exciting opportunity to learn about commercial opportunities and network with others in the dynamic algae industry. The full-day conference will include an exceptional panel of speakers, including a keynote presentation by Tim Zenk, VP of Corporate Affairs for Sapphire Energy. Additionally, attendees will be eligible for a $200 discount for a forthcoming algae industry review from BBI International. The report reviews over 40 companies, their specific technology development, funding received, and pathways to commercialization. A broad overview of the industry is also included, comparing the different types of algal production systems and industry expert opinion of when these systems will be commercialized.
