(St. Paul, Minnesota, U.S.) completed the largest solar thermal project in the upper Midwest region of the United States, located on the roof of the Saint Paul RiverCentre convention center in St. Paul, Minnesota.

The new solar thermal installation, comprised of 144 collectors that cover 1,950 square meters of roof—that’s roughly half the size of a football field—is providing hot water and heat to the center. The system has the capacity to produce up to 1 mega watt (MW) of thermal energy.
