Jerry Jennissen, Dairy Farmer and Digester Owner: Jerry Jennissen and his wife Linda own a 200 acre, 160 cow dairy farm in Brooten, MN where they have recently installed a first-of-its-kind methane digester that became operational in the summer of 2008.

Rich Huelskamp, Research Scientist, University of Minnesota BioProducts & BioSystems Engineering Department: Rich Huelskamp has over 25 years of supporting, educating, and assisting homeowners/business owners as well as Minnesota’s energy industry professionals. With a thorough understanding of residential thru industrial energy using buildings and equipment, Rich has evaluated, recommended and verified building construction, mechanical/electrical equipment, and renewable energy systems. Rich is contracted to be the Regional Organizer with the Southern Minnesota Initiative Foundation. This position is to assist landowners in understanding the promises and problems of wind farm developments and assist in developing community based wind energy projects. As a scientist and adjunct professor with the University of Minnesota in the BioProducts and BioSystems Engineering Dept, Rich has worked on cleaning biogas from a dairy farm to pipeline quality for running a hydrogen fuel cell.
Linden Hills Power & Light: Organics & Digester
Steve Palm, Chairman of the Board, Linden Hills Power & Light: Steve is the Chairman of the Board for Linden Hills Power and Light, which is a Minneapolis neighborhood group whose mission is to engage the neighborhoods to reduce our carbon footprint. Their current projects are an organics (compost) collection program and determining the feasibility of a neighborhood scale anaerobic digester. Steve is an entrepreneur with a background in engineering and technology.
