Joel Haskard Joel Haskard, CERTs Coordinator, U of M Regional Sustainable Development Partnerships: Joel is the Clean Energy Resource Teams (CERTs) co-coordinator for the University of Minnesota’s Regional Sustainable Development Partnerships program. Joel has over eleven years experience coordinating and managing community and economic development activities in the U.S. and abroad. He is also a founding board member of the Phillips Community Energy Co-op, an organization increasing energy-conservation services in south Minneapolis; since 1994, co-op members have saved over $168,000 on their electric bills.

Diana McKeown Diana McKeown, Metro CERTs Coordinator, The Green Institute: Diana is the Metro CERTs Network coordinator for The Green Institute. Prior to joining the CERTs team, Diana worked for over 14 years at Clean Water Action where she gained experience with media work, grassroots organizing, campaign planning, lobbying, and fundraising. Diana has experience building strategic campaigns and coalitions. Diana holds a B.S. in Environmental Studies from the University of Minnesota.
 

Mary Hamman-Roland Mary Hamman-Roland, Mayor of Apple Valley, League of Minnesota Cities President: Mary is the Mayor of the City of Apple Valley. Mary was elected to a four-term in 1998 and reelected in 2002 and 2006. In addition to serving as Mayor, she also served six years on the school board. Mayor Hamann-Roland is also involved in numerous national and state municipal organizations, multiple regional policy organizations, a variety of school-related committees, and many other civic committees. Mary has spent her civic career fostering partnerships among individuals, communities, and organizations. Among other successful collaborations, she was very instrumental in the creation of the nationally renowned School of Environmental Studies. Mayor Hamann-Roland also currently serves as President on the Board of Directors for the League of Minnesota Cities and President of the Minnesota Mayors Association.
