Jeff Haase, Demand Efficiency Program Supervisor, Minnesota Office of Energy Security: Jeff Haase is the Demand Efficiency Supervisor for the Minnesota Office of Energy Security, currently working with utilities in the state to develop policies, tools and procedures for reaching the states 1.5% conservation goal. He has been the Department’s primary HSEM representative for the past 6 years, and in 2006 worked with the National Association of State Energy Officials on the development of the Minnesota Energy Emergency Plan. For the past ten years he has worked in a variety of roles as an engineer and project manager in the Office of Energy Security. He holds a Mechanical Engineering Degree from the University of Minnesota.

Dean Talbott, CIP Program Specialist, Minnesota Power: Dean Talbott is a program manager and customer service representative for Minnesota Power, an electric utility serving northern Minnesota based in Duluth. Dean is responsible for the development, marketing, and implementation of a variety of residential conservation and load management programs and provides consultation and resource services to the utilities customer base. He works closely with building professionals, consumers, and manufacturers to foster and promote healthy home construction and broad based energy conservation and sustainability. He currently serves as Project Manager for several MP utility conservation programs, including: Triple E New Construction, Low Income Energy Partners, Renewable Energy/Distributed Generation, and various research and development projects. Talbott recently has been the project coordinator for the Millennium Star Model Energy-Saving Demonstration home, and oversees the educational program related to that project. (www.mnpower.com/energyhome). Dean is also a founding member and coordinator for the successful annual Energy Design Conference that is in its 19th year. He has worked in the field of energy efficiency and healthy home construction for over 28 years and has worked in a variety of capacities in the energy and housing field.

Tom Sagstetter, CIP Coordinator, Great River Energy: Tom Sagstetter, is the Energy Conservation & Efficiency Program Coordinator for Great River Energy. Great River Energy is a generation and transmission cooperative owned by 28 electric distribution cooperatives serving approximately 630,000 members or about 1.7 million people throughout Minnesota and into Wisconsin.
