Primary Duties

US Solar is hiring an Asset Management professional who will manage the financial asset management function within US Solar.  The primary role is to service the growing fleet of operating solar projects which US Solar owns/manages.  The position reports to the Chief Financial Officer. 

  • Oversee the financial obligations of our operating solar projects including tax equity and debt parties
  • Drive overall processes, systems and management of the asset management function as a whole for US Solar
  • Develop and manage project/portfolio budgets, models, contracts, and other stakeholder requirements
  • Review performance reports and project data; investigate issues and drive to completion in order to optimize the solar fleet
  • Manage relationships with stakeholders in solar projects (landowners, permitting jurisdictions, etc)
  • Ensure regulatory and contract compliance across the portfolio
  • Manage the accounting deliverables and coordinate with bookkeeper/CPA
  • Oversee the A/R and A/P process across the operational solar projects we manage
  • Support project finance activities when necessary
  • Oversee corporate and project insurance
  • Accountable for organizing project documents in internal files and assure high quality and consistency across projects/funds

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting or finance preferred; accounting professional background a plus
  • Minimum 4 years’ experience in a similar role or utilizing similar core proficiencies
  • Ability to manage a portfolio of operating solar projects
  • Solar PV experience and knowledge preferred but not required
  • Strong analytical skills with knowledge of asset management functions
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint
  • Limited traveling may be required
