Community Engagement Intern

Organization
National Grid Renewables
Organization Summary

National Grid Renewables is seeking a high school intern to join its Marketing and Communications team for the summer of 2024. The intern will work in the Community Engagement function, which is focused on building and maintaining good relationships in the communities where we build renewable energy projects. The intern will research groups that oppose renewable energy projects and help to build a database of information about those groups. This work will have a real impact on future solar and wind projects in many areas of the United States.

The intern will learn fast in a changing and growing company, and will take away “real world experience,” as well as a better understanding of the renewable energy industry. At the summer's end, the intern will have a chance to present their work and experience to leadership staff.

We look forward to welcoming our high school intern to join a supportive and collaborative team, which will include a college summer intern. National Grid Renewables has a strong college internship program, and the high school intern will be able to join the college interns for additional enrichment opportunities.
