Primary Duties

A successful Sales and Customer Service Manager will use communication, problem-solving, relationship-building, and organization skills to lead the day to day sales process and team, accomplish new subscription initiatives, and support existing subscriber operations. Working collaboratively with the Manager of the Residential Program, the Sales and Customer Service Manager will help the team achieve its direct-to-consumer sales goals, maximize efficiency, minimize hiccups and delays in the process, and provide a positive representation of US Solar to residents participating in the community solar program. Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the execution of high volume B2C sales campaigns and lead day to day sales activities
  • Manage and support team members to effectively reach goals and improve processes. Use our CRM database to manage weekly sales reports, present progress on current goals, and monitor quality of records and adherence to the sales process
  • Clearly communicate with existing and potential subscribers during customer service inquiries and sales calls, addressing standard customer needs and escalations from other team members
  • Address and resolve customer complaints and questions regarding solar subscriptions
  • Work with the Residential Program Manager on strategy and development of new sales campaigns, process and training improvements, and overall program growth initiatives across multiple markets
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Experience leading or managing a direct-to-consumer sales team
  • Experience planning and executing sales campaigns, overseeing sales activities, or leading sales teams
  • Enthusiasm and willingness to learn about the renewable energy industry
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and comfort on the phone
  • Ability to learn quickly and retain new information
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to stay organized with varied responsibilities
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office products and email communication
  • Flexible hours, some evening work is expected
