Farm Energy Day: Biogas Digesters for Heat and Power
April 15, 2021 | 11am-12pm
Penn State Extension
Anaerobic Digesters are an opportunity to produce Biogas (also known as "Renewable Natural Gas") on the farm to use for heat, power, or other purposes. The most common farm digesters utilize animal manure as the feedstock, but other approaches can be used as well. This webinar will address types of digesters and discuss opportunities for biogas production on the farm.
This webinar will discuss:
How does a digester work?
Is your farm well suited for a digester?
What will attendees learn?
Basics of motor types
High efficiency options
Identifying the situations where switching your motor can really pay off
Programs that are available to help support efficiency improvements on the farm
This webinar is provided with support and funding from the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection and the U.S. Department of Energy's (DOE) State Energy Program.
