Primary Duties

• Manage servers for the Natural Resource Atlas, Forest Optimization Tool, and Coastal Wetland Monitoring Program
• Provide server-side programming for Natural Resource Atlas and Forest Optimization Projects



  • A Master’s degree in Geographic Information Systems or related field. Specific required skills that must be proven are as follows: 
  • Advanced skills in the processing and visualization of geospatial data
  • Advanced programming skills with Python and SQL
  • Experience in the development of web-based GIS applications
  • Ability to manage servers running Ubuntu operating systems and relying on Docker containers
  • Ability to communicate and work closely with team members in a research setting
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; detail-oriented, strategic thinker, self-motivated and strong organizational skills


  • Experience with open source software, including GeoServer, PostgreSQL, and PostGIS
