Westwood Professional Services, Inc. is seeking a Environmental Permitting Senior Project Manager to join our team. The position can be located in either our Minneapolis, Denver or Dallas offices. This candidate will have demonstrated experience and knowledge of renewable energy facility development and permitting within the wind and/or solar energy markets. The successful candidate will serve a leadership role in the environmental services group, develop work scopes and proposals, attend client meetings, interact with project design professionals, and mentor junior staff. Primary Duties: 

Experience working with renewable energy including permitting of wind and/or solar facilities, environmental reviews, state and federal regulatory programs, field investigations, and an understanding of the federal NEPA process.
Strong project management, writing, time management, and organizational skills and the ability to work with a variety of clientele to help develop projects leads into successful projects.
Includes a mix of project management, technical direction of staff and business development.
Key tasks include preparing proposals and work plans, participating in client meetings to support the planning, design, and approval of project development, and expanding opportunities with existing clients.
Periodic travel between our offices, typically 1-3 days per trip on a bi-monthly basis.

Experience: 

The candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree (Master’s Degree preferred) in environmental science, environmental engineering or an earth sciences field.
Minimum of 10+ years of experience in the renewable energy or permitting field.
Excellent writing skills are a must along with the ability to edit and proof read finished work product prepared by others.
Must be a self-starter, resourceful, and have the ability to work productively on multiple projects simultaneously under strict deadlines.
The successful candidate will have a proven ability to work with and manage developer clients within the wind and solar industry.
