NCF has an immediate opening to fill a critical role in its affordable housing program. The Manufactured Housing Specialist will work directly on all aspects of filling vacancies within our manufactured home cooperatives known as resident-owned communities (ROCs). The work of filling the vacant lots within manufactured home communities (commonly referred to as “infill”) is critical to the resident-owned communities. It not only creates new, affordable homeownership opportunities for individuals, but it is also essential in keeping lot rents low and affordable because when there are vacancies in the ROCs, operating costs are spread out across fewer homeowners which drives lot rents higher for co-op members. This work will focus on all areas of infill and will provide coordination, marketing, and education with ROCs, potential homebuyers, and other NCF staff in navigating the process to place new manufactured homes on vacant lots. The communities we serve are diverse, with many of our manufactured home cooperatives having large Latine and Karen populations.
