Powering Progress: Exploring market barriers for rooftop unit retrofit enhancement

Dec. 4 | 11 a.m. to noon

Clean Energy Resource Teams (CERTs)
Event Description

CERTs invites utilities to join an online discussion featuring Alex Haynor, research engineer at Center for Energy and Environment, who will present his research exploring the market barriers to implementing retrofit technologies available for packaged rooftop units (RTUs) and ways to overcome them.

This webinar is an opportunity to connect with other energy providers and professionals to explore solutions for customers and contractor lack of knowledge, supply chain issues, split incentives, and first costs related to retrofit technologies.

Alex Haynor is a research engineer at Center for Energy and Environment, where he has worked since 2010. He conducts research on emerging technologies in residential and commercial HVAC systems, with a focus on field instrumentation and data analysis. Alex's recent research includes cold climate air source heat pump efficiency, rooftop unit optimization, tankless water heating efficiency, and commercial boilers. He has worked with CEE since 2010 and has a B.S. in biosystems and agricultural engineering from the University of Minnesota.
