A new program, Renewable Energy for Greater Minnesota, is offering free project assistance to help Minnesota farmers and rural small businesses take control of their energy expenses with renewable energy.

Clean energy resource teams will help farmers and businesses explore projects that could work for them, identify potential funding and financing options, and get one-on-one assistance on their project.

Teams will help farms and businesses apply for the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Rural Energy for America Program, which offers grants for 25 percent of renewable energy and energy efficiency projects. They will also help farms and businesses explore the possibility of Property Assessed Clean Energy financing, to help pay for energy efficiency and renewable energy upgrades.

Learn more and get project assistance by visiting the Renewable Energy for Greater Minnesota website at mncerts.org/GreatRenewables or by calling Fritz Ebinger at (612) 626-1028.
