Hours

Primary working hours are during CEE’s business hours, but evenings and weekends may be required sporadically. Employee is required to communicate (either by email or phone) all unplanned absences to supervisor no later than by 9:30am the day of the absence. If not properly communicated, the absence may be classified as “unexcused”

Primary Duties

The Program Analyst is responsible for supporting the work of the Program Development Department, which includes market research, data analysis, administrative duties, and various other tasks as assigned. The Program Analyst works collaboratively on a team with a wide variety of expertise. This position requires strong quantitative reasoning, research, and writing skills. This is a full-time position that provides a wide range of benefits including Paid Time Off (PTO), medical, dental, life and long term disability insurance and a retirement plan.

Responsibilities:

Research and analysis to support the internal development of new energy efficiency programs to add to CEE’s existing portfolio
Write memos on customer needs and pain points, innovative efficiency programs around the country, and other topics essential to the Program Development Department’s work
Identify and analyze data to provide insight into utility program achievements, highlight market trends, and identify opportunities for new programs
Take meeting notes
Help coordinate meetings/events; including scheduling, printing meeting materials, ordering food, etc.
Organize and catalogue department files and reference documents
Provide assistance writing proposals for new projects
Work with other staff in a collaborative setting
Understand and adhere to corporate policies and procedures, attend trainings as requested, and read company-wide emails and correspondence
Develop and maintain a professional office environment and appearance (factors include: cleanliness, attire, positive attitude)
Occasional travel in and out of state may be required
Other duties as assigned

Experience

Qualifications/Job Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in science, math, policy, economics, business, related field required, or a combined degree/equivalent work experience
Some work and/or internship experience strongly preferred
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
Some experience with statistical software packages such as R or SPSS, and/or experience with GIS mapping software preferred
Experience identifying, compiling, and analyzing data
Ability to concisely summarize research and analysis in writing
Interest in the energy efficiency industry
Strong desire to work for a mission-driven, non-profit organization
Excellent writing, oral, and interpersonal communication skills
Excellent time-management and organizational skills, and the ability to meet deadlines
Ability to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects; reach with hands and arms; balance and talk or hear
Must occasionally lift or move up to 20 pounds
