Primary Duties

Jumpstart your career in environmental consulting in the Twin Cities.  We are seeking a full-time senior environmental professional ready to take on a leadership role helping us grow our business in the Electric Utility and Solid Waste markets.  If you are seeking a leadership role in a growth-oriented environmental firm, SCS Engineers needs you. If you thrive in a friendly, collaborative setting, enjoy flexible work hours, and like dynamic work that challenges you to learn and grow each day, SCS is a great fit.  As part of our Upper Midwest regional team, you will have an opportunity to contribute to our strategic direction, help us pursue our growth goals, and provide our customers with responsive, high quality customer service.

The senior environmental professional wears two hats. As a Seller, you will contribute to our growth by:

  • Leading our Twin Cities area team
  • Helping us grow the number and value of projects we do for existing customers 
  • Playing a leading role in new customer acquisition
  • Drafting and reviewing proposals

As a Doer, you will work with a team of project professionals to help our clients succeed by helping them address a wide variety of environmental challenges, potentially including:

  • Permitting, design, and construction
    • Municipal solid waste landfills
    • Landfill gas and biogas
    • Coal ash landfills and impoundments
  • Sustainable materials management
    • Recycling
    • Waste minimization studies
    • Organics management
    • Composting
Experience
  • Bachelors or Masters of Science in an environmental related science or engineering field required
  • 10+ years of related work experience required
  • 5+ years working at an environmental consulting firm required
  • Business Development experience in the Twin Cities market required
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Outstanding customer service track record
  • Valid driver's license and driving record in good standing
