Primary Duties
  • Serves as a Project Execution Executive during project execution, working closely with local Project Managers in a Player-Coach format (where applicable), to ensure projects are constructed on time, on budget and to the quality and specification required to meet all performance requirements and obtain complete customer satisfaction. Skills required to recognize, address and effectively communicate to customer, subcontractors, 3rd party engineers, AHJs and the Trane Team any issues that arise during the execution phase.
  • Serves as Subject Matter Expert (SME) to develop engineered Basis of Designs to meet customer's unique needs, determine project and business economics including funding alternatives, create detail scopes of work, answer engineer and subcontractor RFIs and identify all risks and appropriate mitigations of TREPS related opportunities.
  • Mentors and coaches others to broaden knowledge skill-sets in support of TREPS opportunities (Player-Coach).
  • Develops strategies, techniques and platforms to increase all TREPS related business with a focus on execution and engineering activities.
  • Understands and remains current regarding federal, state and local rebates and incentives (tax, RECs, etc) in all areas of the country.
  • Identifies and maintains strong relationship with industry partners, OEM suppliers, contractors, AHJs and consultants.
  • Develops TREPS related content for sales proposals, permits, interconnection and air quality documents, power-point slide decks and case-studies.
  • Serves as key educator for district leaders, account managers, project developers and energy engineers on TREPS strategy, terminology and fundamentals of renewable energy and power solutions projects with end goal to create additional District TREPS SMEs to grow TREPS business.
  • Assembles and or recommends appropriate team and resources for developing, designing and executing specific opportunities.
  • Support annual sales and growth objectives (MBOs).
  • Keep the pipeline and tracking documents regularly updated on the status of all key account activities.
  • Provide market intelligence to Sales Leadership and Marketing team.
  • Establish and grow business relationships with key decision makers, identifying and developing strong relationships, and appropriately utilizing influencers and advocates
Experience
  • Minimum of 5 - 7 years as a sales, development, engineering and execution in a large matrix organization. Individual must have considerable execution experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, engineering and MBA preferred
  • Experience with specifying, designing and building one or more technology: CHP, PV, Energy Storage, Microgrids, Biomass/Gas and alternative fuel supply (CNG, LNG and biofuels).
  • Superior presentation, negotiation, and organizational skills; able to present ideas to customers, engineers and subcontractors in a way that produces understanding and impact
  • Outstanding influencing, interpersonal and networking skills
  • Demonstrated ability to build, maintain, and support the closure and execution of business deals on a consistent basis
  • Proforma crafting, including Structured Finance options
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain a high level of productivity, manage multiple competing priorities, and work effectively under the pressure of time constraints in a fast-paced, complex, collaborative, and team-oriented environment
  • Proven consultative sales, development and execution skills, including the ability to discover problems and provide proactive solutions to improve both sales and customer satisfaction during execution.
  • Minimum of 5 - 7 years as a sales, development, engineering and execution in a large matrix organization. Individual must have considerable execution experience.

  • Ability to Travel up to 75% of the time
  • Strong computer skills, highly proficient within Microsoft Office software (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Project, etc.). Good to have specific TREPS related techonology software tool experience (Helioscope, PVSyst, Energy Toolbase, etc). Drafting skills desired.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license for a minimum of 12 months, with no major or frequent traffic violations including, but not limited to:
    • DUI in the previous 5 years
    • Hit & Run, License Suspension, Reckless / Careless Driving or multiple smaller infractions or preventable collisions in the previous 3 years.
