Compensation

  • This is a full-time position with an expected pay rate of $17-20 per hour

Primary Duties

All Energy Solar is seeking for a Solar Site Surveyor to join our engineering team. The Solar Site Surveyor (ESV Tech) is vital in ensuring the safe and successful design and installation of residential and small commercial solar electric systems. Working independently, the ESV Tech will compile valuable notes, measurements, photos, and videos of project sites for use by the design team, electricians and installers. New techs receive on the job training to obtain their drone pilot’s license and fly the drone during most site visits. The ESV Tech will work mostly in Minnesota, with some trips to Wisconsin, and Iowa. This position includes scheduled and as needed work with the service team, design team, project management team and installation team. Individuals in this position receive extensive training and develop skills that lead to promotion opportunities in several different areas within the company.

Duties

  • Take thorough written, photo, and video documentation of project sites
  • Take and record accurate measurements of a variety of structures and spaces
  • Communicate effectively and professionally with customers and colleagues
  • Use basic math skills to make computations in the field
  • Complete reports and upload documentation to the computer.
Experience

Skills/Qualifications
Required:

  • Able to comfortably and safely climb ladders, work on a variety of rooftops, and work in attics and other tight spaces
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong time management skills
  • Customer service experience and skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to work in extreme environments (heat and cold) 
  • Willing to work a flexible schedule
  • A high level of professionalism and a positive demeanor
  • Clean driving record and valid state driver’s license
  • Ability to work independently, while also thriving in a team
  • Willingness to work overtime hours, as needed

Preferred:
Previous construction experience or previous experience installing or working with photovoltaic systems
