Event Description

Solar in MN, where we are and where we are going.  A brief discussion of the current State of Solar in MN and what the future may look like. Solar plus storage, infrastructure, the Grid, public perception, Block-Chain, and regulation are some of the topics we will touch on during this presentation.

About the Presenter:

Jack Kluempke
Emerging Energy Technologies Supervisor State Energy Office

Jack Kluempke is the Emerging Energy Technologies Supervisor at the State Energy Office. Prior to joining the State he was the Solar Sales and Development Coordinator for Array Solar, a division of Elk River Winlectric, where he specialized in Photovoltaic (PV) System Design and product procurement.  He is also a Certified NABCEP Emeritus in PV Technical Sales, an MREA-Certified Site Assessor in both PV and Solar Thermal technology, and an MRES instructor.  

Jack brings 10+ years of construction and project management and sales experience to his role at the Department of Commerce.  He holds a degree in Finance from St. John’s University, a degree in Energy Technology from St. Cloud Technical and Community College, and is a graduate of the Solar PV Design and Technical Sales program at Saint Paul College.  He is also an active member of MEC, ASES, MREA, MRES, and MnSEIA, serving on a number of boards and committees to promote renewable energy and energy conservation. Jack lives in St. Cloud with his wife Kim and four children.
