Community members can learn about clean energy in Minnesota December 7 from 1:30-3:30pm at the Willmar Public Library. The free event will feature a new documentary and local speakers, along with discussion about saving energy and money in their homes and businesses.
The film “The Power of Minnesota” will tell stories of how clean energy is making local economies even stronger. Local community members will talk about how they installed solar and geothermal power and drive electric vehicles, and Clean Energy Resource Teams (CERTs) and Willmar Municipal Utilities will describe their clean energy programs. Everyone in attendance can join in the lively discussion about clean energy.

The Power of Minnesota event is co-hosted by Willmar Area Climate Action Group and CERTs. The Willmar Area Climate Action Group seeks to take immediate local action to address the urgent issue of climate change and empower our community to support broad-scale solutions. The mission of CERTs is to connect individuals and communities in Minnesota to the resources they need to identify and implement community-based clean energy projects.
