Salary and Benefits
Based on position requirements and candidate experience, the base salary range for the Grade 3 Marketing and Business Development Coordinator is $65,000 - $75,000. The salary range shown is for full-time employment. The base salary is commensurate with relevant skills and experience. Benefits include:

Location, Schedule and Position Conditions
This position is concentrated along the Colorado Front Range and Twin Cities Metropolitan Area. We will give preference to candidates based in Fort Collins, CO; Denver Metro, CO; or Twin Cities Metro, MN. We operate as a hybrid organization offering flexible schedules and a mix of in-office and remote work, with regular in-person collaboration as a core part of how we work together.
Brendle Group full-time staff are expected to be available during the company’s core hours (9 am to
3 pm); flexible schedules and arrangements outside of these core hours are available. Our team is committed to sustainable workloads and will work diligently to ensure work weeks do not become excessive or require prolonged periods that significantly exceed 40 hours per week for full-time employees.
This position requires reliable transportation.
Position Responsibilities and Estimated Time Allocation:
Business Development and Proposals (30%)
- Contribute to improving proposal quality and efficiency across pursuits.
- Support proposal coordination, including scheduling, document management, and compliance tracking.
- Assist in developing proposal content by gathering information, editing drafts, and ensuring clarity and consistency.
- Maintain proposal content libraries, resumes, and project descriptions.
- Support CRM data entry and knowledge management systems.
Market Research and Insights (30%)
- Identify patterns and insights that inform strategic decision-making.
- Conduct market, audience, and stakeholder research to inform marketing and communications strategies, including:
- Industry and policy trend scans.
- Competitor and peer organization analyses.
- Audience segmentation and persona development.
- Message testing and feedback synthesis.
- Conduct and support quantitative and qualitative analysis (e.g., surveys, interviews, focus groups, program performance, market potential, customer insights).
- Synthesize research and data into actionable insights for internal teams and client deliverables (e.g., slide decks, briefs, visuals).
Project and Program Support (30%)
- Support delivery of high-quality, client-ready solutions.
- Support development of reports, dashboards, and presentations that communicate findings clearly to clients.
- Collaborate with technical staff to translate sustainability concepts into clear, client-friendly messaging.
- Contribute to post-proposal and post-project debriefs to support continuous improvement.
- Support implementation of marketing and communications initiatives informed by research findings.
- Support public outreach and engagement efforts including web content and communications platforms.
- Support public events, including coordination, tabling, and presentations.
- Update and adapt existing Adobe Creative Suite materials and develop new outreach assets based on established content.
The remaining 10% time is assumed to be allocated to holidays, personal time off, sick time, and other overhead activities.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in sustainability, environmental studies, economics, business, data analytics, or a related field.
- 1-3 years of experience or internships in marketing, consulting, research, business analysis, or proposal coordination.
- Demonstrated experience conducting desk research, surveys, interviews, or data analysis.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize complex information into concise insights.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel, Teams, SharePoint).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Familiarity with and/or enthusiasm for sustainability topics.
Preferred Qualifications
In addition to the required qualifications above, as a small business we wear many hats and look for team members who can contribute in multiple ways to our company’s success. For this position, we prefer a candidate with a diverse professional background who can contribute one or more of the following qualifications to support team capacity and cross-functional resilience:
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish/English in both written and verbal communication strongly preferred.
- Experience with data analysis tools (e.g., Excel advanced functions, Power BI, Tableau, or similar).
- Exposure to program evaluation, market research, or policy analysis.
- Familiarity with sustainability topics such as energy, water, climate planning, resilience, or equity-centered approaches.
- Experience supporting proposals, grant writing, or RFP responses.
- Familiarity with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and knowledge management tools.
- Experience working in consulting or a client-facing environment.
- Demonstrated ability to use generative AI and other analytical tools responsibly to improve research, writing, and data analysis while protecting confidential information, mitigating bias, and following company and client policies.
