Apply to be a Minnesota GreenCorps host site

Minnesota GreenCorps is an environmentally focused AmeriCorps program coordinated by the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency (MPCA). The program places members with organizations throughout the state to spend a year of service addressing critical environmental issues while gaining experience and learning valuable job skills.

MPCA is currently accepting applications, due March 22, from organizations interested in hosting a Minnesota GreenCorps member for the 2022-23 program year.

The MPCA plans to place up to 46 full-time members with host site organizations. Organizations eligible to host Minnesota GreenCorps members include public entities (local, regional, state, and tribal), school districts, public education institutions, and nonprofits.

Host sites provide day-to-day supervision and support members on community-focused projects in one of the following four focus areas:

  • Air pollutant reduction
  • Community readiness and outreach
  • Green infrastructure improvements
  • Waste reduction, recycling, and organics management

The Minnesota GreenCorps program is one of the best incubators out there for developing future professionals of the environmental field. They have been able to provide the city the assistance needed to more effectively develop, implement, and replicate successful projects that are sustainable.
