Deloitte Tax LLP webinar to help you navigate Clean Energy Tax Credits

The State of MN, through the Minnesota Management and Budget, has engaged Deloitte tax to provide targeted assistance for municipalities (which includes counties, cities, municipalities, tribal governments, higher education universities, and other tax-exempt organizations) with their Clean Energy Tax Credits (990T) through the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) Direct Pay.  This will be paid for by Minnesota Management and Budget.

The Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) offers provides unprecedented cash refund opportunities for state governments, political subdivisions, higher education institutes, and tax-exempt organizations who have made investments in clean energy projects (ie: Solar Installations, Geothermal HVAC systems, microgrid storage, EV Fleet purchases, and EV Charging Stations).

Deloitte is hosting a series of webinars with the municipalities within the State of MN to provide an overview of the IRA and how they can take advantage of the assistance Deloitte has been hired to provide.  These will be held at the following times:

  • September 4, 2025, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m.
  • October 2, 2025, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m.
  • November 3, 2025, from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. CDT.

Many municipalities may have filing deadlines coming up by November 15th, 2025.

Please register for the webinar.

Deloitte will also be circulating a survey to better understand the projects each municipality has so they can tailor the webinar and support to your needs.
