Farmer Climate Action Fund

The Regional Sustainable Development Partnerships at the University of Minnesota Extension announced a new round of funding for Minnesota farmers to take on climate adaptation and mitigation projects.

Through a competitive process, small grants will be awarded to support on-farm initiatives that may include (but are not limited to):

  • Implementing  practices that promote continuous living cover.
  • Incorporating renewable energy alternatives.
  • Adopting soil health practices that sequester carbon.
  • Fostering on-farm resilience through improved water management.

Applications are due January 2, 2026. Funding decisions will be made by early February.
