Gigi Otten joined CERTs as the Sustainability Storyteller in April 2026. She brings with her a background in public service and a passion for connecting Minnesotans with reliable, straightforward resources.

Originally from southern Minnesota, Gigi holds a B.S. in fisheries, wildlife, and conservation biology and a B.A. in anthropology from the University of Minnesota. At CERTs, Gigi focuses on creating stories that introduce and highlight the people behind clean energy ideas happening across Minnesota. She helps people learn from each other and understand what could work well for their community.

Outside of work, Gigi enjoys making music with her friends, painting, hiking, fishing, and using Minneapolis’ amazing bike trails!
