Grants to improve school HVAC systems

Minnesota Air Ventilation Pilot Grant Program

The Minnesota Department of Commerce (“Department”) seeks proposals from eligible schools (“Applicants”) throughout Minnesota for the Minnesota Air Ventilation Pilot Grant Program (“HVAC Program”).

The HVAC Program established by the State Legislature (Minn. Stats. § 123B.662 and 123B.663) is designed to improve the health and safety of school communities, and to improve energy efficiency and reduce greenhouse gas emissions from school facilities. Eligible schools include public and charter schools which own their own facilities.

A Request for Proposal (RFP) and required forms are available for download on the Department’s website (mn.gov/commerce/business/rfp.jsp). To apply for this grant opportunity, Applicants must complete an application through the Department’s grant application portal. Full application instructions can be found in the RFP.

Applications will be accepted through December 31, 2025, or until all funds are committed, whichever occurs first. Late submissions will not be considered.

This request does not obligate the State to complete the work contemplated in this notice. The State reserves the right to cancel this solicitation. All expenses incurred in responding to this notice are solely the responsibility of the responder.
