Heating the Midwest Conference & Expo the gathering of the year for renewable biomass energy!

April 25-27, hundreds of people will be gathering in Eau Claire, Wisconsin for the first annual Heating the Midwest with Renewable Biomass Conference & Expo, which will provide a unique opportunity to build momentum for biomass heating in the Midwest. CERTs is pleased to be part of the event as a co-sponsor.

The mission of Heating the Midwest is to advance biomass thermal heating in the Midwest for a more sustainable future, while improving the economic, environmental and social well-being of the region. Driven and directed by a steering committee, Heating the Midwest includes industry, government, non-profit organizations, university representatives and tribal representatives.

Attendees will gain valuable information on the following topics:

  • Biomass resource availability and processing
  • Thermal heating policy
  • Innovative and efficient combustion technologies
  • Biomass heating installation success stories
  • Project financing strategies
  • Biomass heating economic benefits for the region

Wondering about the importance of biomass for heating the Midwest? Here’s what industry leaders have to say in support of the conference:

  • Gregg Mast, The BioBusiness Alliance of Minnesota: “Meet leading practitioners and get connected to the fast-growing biomass thermal industry at Heating the Midwest Conference and Expo 2012.”
  • Pam Porter, Biomass Energy Resource Center: “More than 100,000 families in Wisconsin heat with wood. Businesses, especially those heating with propane and heating oil can save by switching to biomass systems. This conference is a chance to see in action some of the newest line up of equipment.”
  • T.J. Morice, Marth Companies: “In January 2012, a U.S. Endowment for Forestry and Communities meeting with biomass thermal professionals validated that the most important issue for wood-energy is Education and Outreach to facilities and users not familiar with the opportunities of biomass thermal combustion technologies. Heating the Midwest will provide this information in the Great Lakes.”

You can register before March 31st to take advantage of the early bird special rate of $175 ($199 after March 31).
