Join Bulk Purchase of Small Wind Turbines to Save on Costs

Windustry and the Region Nine Renewable Energy Task Force are managing a Small Wind Bulk Buy Program to help rural enterprises take advantage of the state’s wind resources and net-metering laws.

The bulk purchase will be for machines ranging in size from 2.4 kW to 35kW, including Bergey 10kW, WTIC Jacobs 20kW, and Endurance 35kW wind turbines. Discounted pricing is being negotiated with the manufacturers, and dealers are being vetted and discounts negotiated.

The bulk purchase prices are available for interested parties across the state of Minnesota, but due to limited resources, free site evaluations will only be available to folks in south-central and south-eastern MN (specifically those living in the service territory of Regional Development Commission 9 & 10). These include the counties of Blue Earth, Brown, Faribault, Le Sueur, Martin, Nicollet, Sibley, Waseca, Watonwan, Dodge, Goodhue, Houston, Fillmore, Freeborn, Mower, Olmsted, Rice, Steele, Wabasha, and Winona. Free technical assistance is available for individuals regardless of geographic location.
