Know a student clean energy leader? There’s a scholarship for that.

The Midwest Renewable Energy Association (MREA) is committed to providing opportunities for students to become leaders in building a sustainable future powered by clean energy. The MREA Clean Energy Leadership Award is designed to assist students who are pursuing degrees and/or relevant credentials in renewable energy, energy efficiency, sustainability, or clean technology.

We touched base with MREA Executive Director Nick Hylla to learn more.

Tell us about the MREA Clean Leadership Award.

The Clean Energy Leadership Award is a scholarship program to support educational and career advancement for students pursuing careers in clean energy and who reside in the Midwest (WI, MN, MI, IA, IL, IN, OH, MO). The $1,000 scholarship is awarded based on leadership skills, student motivation, enthusiasm, and commitment. High school, college, graduate, and non-traditional students are invited to apply.

How does this fit with MREA's broader mission?

A clean energy future needs leadership and we are investing in the next generation.
