Metro CERT welcomes Olivia Siebert!

Welcome Olivia!

Olivia Siebert

This fall, Olivia Siebert joined the Metro CERT squad at the Great Plains Institute as our newest GreenCorps member!

Olivia will work on energy burden reduction outreach, community engagement around building efficiency and electrification, supporting technical assistance and grant navigation programs, and working with CERTs’ Community Energy Ambassador program. She is excited to work on community outreach and engagement to help Minnesotans feel empowered to make smart and informed local energy decisions.

Olivia is a returning GreenCorps member, having served her first term with the City of Falcon Heights supporting the city’s Climate Action Plan, doing energy burden outreach, and engaging residents about waste reduction and composting. She is originally from Madison, Wisconsin and is very happy to be back in the Midwest after completing her BA in Environmental Science and Policy from Smith College in Massachusetts. She aspires to continue working on environmental policy in the Midwest.

Olivia is a stalwart bike commuter and can often be found on the bike paths of the Twin Cities, playing ultimate frisbee, or baking gluten-free sourdough bread from scratch.
