Energy Design Concepts (EDC) Presents: Building Science Training in Little Falls, MN

For the first time, Energy Design Concepts is bringing advanced building science training to the Little Falls area! Join us on Thursday, November 20, at the historic Little Falls Depot for an educational session led by Aaron Smith of the Energy & Environmental Building Alliance (EEBA).

This year’s training, “How to Build a Zero Energy Ready Home,” offers cutting-edge insights into energy-efficient construction and sustainable design practices. It’s an ideal opportunity for contractors, builders, architects, and other construction professionals to deepen their expertise.

Continuing Education Credits are available. Don’t miss this chance to learn and connect with others in the industry!

This course offers a comprehensive overview of the Department of Energy Zero Energy Ready (ZER) Home program requirements and cost-effective ways to meet them. It covers trends in high-performance homes and the building science principles behind homes that use only as much energy as can be produced by onsite renewable sources. Participants will learn about design principles, equipment options, emerging technologies, material selections, and construction practices. Case studies will showcase successful ZER homes, with a focus on affordability for homebuyers. The course also demonstrates a range of alternatives for different climate zones and housing types, helping builders and designers choose solutions that meet their market needs.
