Who it's for

The Community Energy Ambassadors program supports people across Minnesota with advancing clean energy projects in their communities. Whether you're a clean energy expert or just learning about energy efficiency basics, this training will connect you with the information you need to engage with neighbors and make a difference in your community.

Program steps

  1. Online training course

We divide clean energy into manageable topics with videos, discussion boards, and online resources to help you better understand each topic. You can set your own pace as you work through the training.

  2. Community-oriented project

The project is a way for you to test out what you've learned and what you're interested in doing. Host a gathering with friends, write an article for your neighborhood paper, help an organization you're involved with be more energy efficient, or something else. Make it fun and keep it simple!

  3. Post-CERTification:

    a. Engagement: dive deeper into clean energy topics with CERTs experts and your fellow Ambassadors.
    b. Projects: apply what you learn within your community.
    c. Tracking: share your ideas, challenges, and activities with CERTs so we can help you with connections, resources, and improve what we do.
