White Earth Tribal & Community College is an institution of higher learning dedicated to academic excellence ​grounded in Anishinaabe culture, values, and traditions.

The Customized Education Program Navigator helps manage the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development (MN DEED) Pathways to Prosperity Grant which sponsors workforce trainings and supports degree-seeking students at WETCC. The navigator guides participants in this program and provides case management, navigational and support services to program participants. The navigator also works closely with the Customized Education Coordinator in managing all continuing education and workforce training offered at WETCC.

Salary

$19.21/hour

Hours

Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, Flextime as need per program requirements including evenings and weekends.

Primary Duties
  • Provides case management and navigational and support services to increase participant completion and address barriers to success.
  • Assists with finding job placements for participants.
  • Builds and maintains positive relationships with program participants, employers, and tribal and community service providers.
  • Refer participants to WETCC, tribal, or community services.
  • Develops and monitors individual learning plans for each participant.
  • Completes paperwork and documentation and maintains accurate records.
  • Abides by grant responsibilities and requirements.
  • Maintain confidentiality.
  • Other duties assigned.
Experience

Minimum Qualifications

  • Associate degree (AA, AS) in social services, human services, or related field.
  • Two or more years of experience in social services, employment training, or human services.
  • Experience working with individuals or families who face economic, educational, employment or health challenges.

Preferred Qualifications

  • A combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with others.
  • Proficient computers skills including Microsoft Windows, Excel, Workforce 1, Canva.
  • Knowledge of curriculum design, training techniques, and adult learning.
  • Ability to communicate effectively through written and oral correspondence.

Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations
Valid driver’s license and insurance to travel as needed.
