Salary

The pay rate for this position is $21.50 per hour.

Hours

There are two options for schedules:

A –  730-330 M-F ; second Saturday is worked, and prior Monday off.  

B – 730-330 TWF/1130-730 M/Th 

 

There is some variability with the ending time due to the nature of the work. Minor scheduling accommodations may be an option.
 

Primary Duties

What You’ll Do 

  • Work with a team member to conduct home visits according to established protocols
  • Manage time to complete visits according to schedule
  • Assume the role of Lead or Installer for HES Install visits
  • Conduct product installations for HES and multifamily visits (primarily LED light bulbs, energy efficient shower heads, weatherstripping, and thermostats)
  • Consult with customers about energy goals, questions, and concerns
  • Teach customers about energy use and encourage low-cost and no-cost energy-saving measures
  • Communicate with coworkers throughout visits to discuss upgrade recommendations
  • Discuss upgrade recommendations with customers and gauge the customer’s interest
  • Encourage customers to complete additional recommended treatments by using the Energy Advisor service
  • Accurately record and enter data into our tracking database
  • Accurately manage product inventory
  • Drive an HES van
  • Complete assigned administrative tasks and responsibilities during office time
  • Assist with our marketing and outreach efforts
  • Understand and adhere to corporate policies and procedures, attend trainings as requested, and read company-wide emails and correspondence
  • Participate in our ongoing Energy Counselor training program
  • Other duties as assigned or apparent
Experience

Skills & Knowledge We’re Looking For 

  • Valid driver’s license and good driving record are required
  • Ability to occasionally travel overnight to conferences and out-of-state work trips is required
  • Capability of lifting 50 pounds and performing physical tasks such as carrying, pushing, pulling, kneeling, and squatting is required
  • Willingness and ability to work outside in all weather conditions    
  • Genuine interest in residential energy efficiency and willingness to expand your knowledge base on the subject  
  • Excellent customer relations and communication skills   
  • Strong time-management and organizational skills, with the ability to meet deadlines and work in team settings    
  • Basic computer competency with proficiency in Microsoft Office Word and Excel    

  
Preferred Qualifications 

  • Fluency in Spanish, Hmong, or Somali
