The pay rate for this position is $21.50 per hour.
There are two options for schedules:
A – 730-330 M-F ; second Saturday is worked, and prior Monday off.
B – 730-330 TWF/1130-730 M/Th
There is some variability with the ending time due to the nature of the work. Minor scheduling accommodations may be an option.
What You’ll Do
- Work with a team member to conduct home visits according to established protocols
- Manage time to complete visits according to schedule
- Assume the role of Lead or Installer for HES Install visits
- Conduct product installations for HES and multifamily visits (primarily LED light bulbs, energy efficient shower heads, weatherstripping, and thermostats)
- Consult with customers about energy goals, questions, and concerns
- Teach customers about energy use and encourage low-cost and no-cost energy-saving measures
- Communicate with coworkers throughout visits to discuss upgrade recommendations
- Discuss upgrade recommendations with customers and gauge the customer’s interest
- Encourage customers to complete additional recommended treatments by using the Energy Advisor service
- Accurately record and enter data into our tracking database
- Accurately manage product inventory
- Drive an HES van
- Complete assigned administrative tasks and responsibilities during office time
- Assist with our marketing and outreach efforts
- Understand and adhere to corporate policies and procedures, attend trainings as requested, and read company-wide emails and correspondence
- Participate in our ongoing Energy Counselor training program
- Other duties as assigned or apparent
Skills & Knowledge We’re Looking For
- Valid driver’s license and good driving record are required
- Ability to occasionally travel overnight to conferences and out-of-state work trips is required
- Capability of lifting 50 pounds and performing physical tasks such as carrying, pushing, pulling, kneeling, and squatting is required
- Willingness and ability to work outside in all weather conditions
- Genuine interest in residential energy efficiency and willingness to expand your knowledge base on the subject
- Excellent customer relations and communication skills
- Strong time-management and organizational skills, with the ability to meet deadlines and work in team settings
- Basic computer competency with proficiency in Microsoft Office Word and Excel

- Fluency in Spanish, Hmong, or Somali
