This two-part event will offer educators and community leaders a unique opportunity to gain first-hand knowledge of careers in the circular economy and energy production that can be shared later with students and community members. Participants will learn how Washington/Ramsey Recycling & Energy, an organization at the cutting edge of health and environmental protection, turns community waste into valuable resources.

- Webinar: Tuesday, May 19 at 3:30 p.m. (A recording will be available for those unable to attend the live webinar).
- Facility Tour: Thursday, May 28 at 3:30 p.m. at the R&E Center in Newport, MN (nine miles southeast of downtown St. Paul).
In 2025 alone, R&E:
- Processed nearly 360,000 tons of trash
- Recovered more than 11,000 tons of metal for recycling
- Produced enough fuel to power more than 12,000 homes for a year
- Reduced CO2 emissions the equivalent of over 20,000 cars taken off the road for a year
