Primary Duties

Otter Tail Power is a national leader in implementing energy efficiency, load management, demand response, and renewable energy programs. This team member would meet with commercial, industrial, and residential customers and trade allies to identify and evaluate the advantages of conservation and other demand-side management programs, as well as productivity-increasing and beneficial electrification technologies to manage energy costs.


For this role, we prefer a bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial engineering, related field, or industry experience. Additional qualification as a Certified Energy Manager or Certified Lighting Efficiency Professional is beneficial.

Qualified applicant should have excellent interpersonal skills; the ability to work independently; solid negotiation, sales and leadership ability; comprehensive understanding and problem-solving skills for a wide variety of electric equipment, products, and systems including heating, cooling, ventilating, energy management, heat exchangers, air quality, water heating, solar, and process equipment; and general understanding of electrical theory and applications. Working knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and building construction methods is needed.
