Frontier Energy is seeking a detail-oriented and collaborative Energy Rebate Analyst to support the implementation of commercial energy efficiency programs across major utilities. This role focuses on processing rebate applications for small and large commercial projects, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely completion.

The ideal candidate will bring a methodical approach to handling project documentation, leveraging both project management skills and an eye for detail to track application progress and ensure accurate, timely processing. You will coordinate with various teams, ensuring smooth workflow and identifying areas for continuous improvement. Your ability to maintain clarity and organization in complex, data-heavy environments will be key in ensuring rebate applications are processed efficiently.

Primary Duties

Key Responsibilities

  • Rebate Application Processing: Carefully review and validate commercial rebate applications for both small and large projects, ensuring they meet program requirements and are financially accurate. Analyze project documentation to identify discrepancies and proactively address issues.
  • Project Tracking & Workflow Management: Track project status across multiple stages, ensuring deadlines and milestones are met. Monitor progress using internal systems and ensure data integrity, providing clear reports to stakeholders.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Maintain organized, audit-ready documentation for all projects. Prepare detailed reports that communicate progress, data insights, and any potential bottlenecks to relevant internal teams and external partners.
  • Cross-functional Coordination: Work closely with internal teams (e.g., auditors and program managers) to resolve any issues, provide timely updates, and ensure alignment with program goals. You’ll ensure clarity and transparency in communication, enabling teams to make informed decisions.
  • Process Optimization: Identify inefficiencies and bottlenecks within the rebate process. Work with the team to suggest improvements that streamline workflows and reduce the potential for errors, ultimately speeding up the application processing cycle.
  • Problem-Solving & Critical Thinking: Tackle challenges with a solution-oriented mindset, identifying problems early and determining the best course of action. Whether it’s a data discrepancy or an application delay, you’ll be proactive in troubleshooting issues.
  • Attention to Detail: Demonstrate exceptional attention to detail in reviewing applications and ensuring the accuracy of all data inputs. You’ll double-check information to ensure program compliance and smooth project execution.
  • Adaptability & Flexibility: Manage multiple projects in a dynamic environment, quickly adjusting to shifting deadlines or requirements. Whether you're helping to resolve a new challenge or adjusting to a program change, you’ll approach each situation with flexibility and a strategic mindset.
Experience

Required Skills

  • Degree in energy efficiency, administration, project management, data analysis, or sustainability. Proficient use of MS Excel is essential for tracking project data, analyzing energy savings, and maintaining comprehensive spreadsheet records that support program reporting and decision-making.
  • Demonstrated organizational and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining focus on detailed tasks.
  • A strong problem-solving mindset, with the ability to identify and address challenges through strategic, data-driven decision-making.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accurate records and documentation in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally, build relationships, and adapt to changing project needs while staying focused on program goals.

Preferred Skills

  • 1+ years of experience in energy efficiency programs, administration, rebate processing, or project coordination.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with CRM or rebate tracking systems is a plus. Experience with utility programs is a bonus.
