Primary Duties

Light Up Homes as a Housing Energy Auditor/Inspector! Want to make homes cozier, greener, and more efficient? Join our team as a Housing Energy Auditor/Inspector and create real change! With hands-on training and certifications, this role lets you grow your skills while helping your community.

Be the Energy Hero: Visit homes to test, diagnose, and recommend upgrades that save energy and make life more

        comfortable.
• Take Charge: Manage housing projects from start to finish—analyze energy savings, create work orders, and                  coordinate contractors to get the job done.

• Share the Knowledge: Teach homeowners energy-saving tips and tricks that can lower their bills and carbon       

        footprint.

Keep It Moving: Make sure tools, equipment, and vehicles are in tip-top shape and ready for action.

Lead with Excellence: Represent our agency’s mission and values in everything you do.
 

Experience

SKILLS TO WOW US:
• A knack for understanding how homes are built and how to make them better.
• Stellar communication skills—you can chat with homeowners, contractors, and community leaders like a pro.
• Tech-savvy enough to handle intermediate computer tasks with ease.
• Great at juggling priorities and meeting deadlines without breaking a sweat.
• The ability to oversee construction projects and ensure everything’s up to code.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• 1-2 years of post-secondary training in construction, engineering, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience OR a mix of education and experience that fits the bill.
• A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
