Intern: EcoFair on Summit
EcoFair on Summit – Mission Statement: We of diverse faith traditions, unite in our shared responsibility to honor, protect, and heal the Earth. Guided by scientific principles, we come together to promote sustainability, environmental justice, and the well-being of future generations. Through this Eco-Fair, we seek to inspire and empower individuals, families and communities to take practical and cost-effective actions in stewardship of the Earth. Through interfaith cooperation we will provide eco-friendly resources, education, and tools for a more just, resilient, and sustainable world for all.
The EcoFair on Summit is an annual in-person event that brings together exhibitors, vendors, electric vehicle owners, and environmental organizations to promote individual and household actions that reduce carbon emissions. In 2026, the event will be held on Saturday, May 16 from 1 – 4 pm at House of Hope Presbyterian Church 797 Summit Ave, St Paul, MN 55105. The EcoFair is supported by its partnership with Minnesota Interfaith Power & Light (fiscal sponsor) and Elevation Communications.

To be determined in interview process (estimated 10/week). Attendance at monthly group meetings is expected First Mondays of the month 7:00 pm.
The intern will support the EcoFair and its planning with a variety of administrative and hands-on tasks with heavy emphasis on social media work, reporting to the MNIPL facilitator, Buff Grace. The EcoFair’s three-person executive team will work with the intern to craft the internship to the 10 - 12 hours time frame and interests of the intern and give guidance and direction. Attendance at monthly group meetings is expected First Mondays of the month 7:00 pm. Tasks may include recruiting exhibitors; marketing and advertising; pitching the event to organizations; recruiting attendees; logistics such as event signage, etc. Leading up to Fair more social media outreach will be focus of intern, admin support as needed as well as a ‘runner’ day of event.
Team player who can also work independently. Hands-on event experience helpful, strong organizational skills, and proficiency in data management to support executive team with budgets, marketing, timeline and logistics. Critical skills include event logistics, social media platforms and creative problem-solving.
