Jack Acomb joins Great Plains Institute as Metro CERT Intern

Jack Acomb joined the GPI team in early September as a program assistant intern with the Metro Clean Energy Resource Team (Metro CERT).

In this position, Jack will work to support the Metro CERT’s 2020 seed grant selection process, as well as assisting with programs related to electric vehicle adoption and other clean energy initiatives. Jack will be with the GPI and Metro CERT teams through the 2019-2020 school year.

A born-and-raised Minnesotan, Jack is currently a sophomore at Macalester College in St. Paul, studying Geography and Political Science. During his time at Macalester, his experiences have ranged from serving as the college’s representative on the Union Park District Council to interning as a GIS analyst for the Environmental Working Group in Minneapolis. His passion for community and the environment made this position a natural fit.

I'm excited to contribute to the organization’s sustainability and community outreach efforts!
