Karen supports CERT’s on-the-ground work through data collection and research.

Before joining the team in 2023, she worked in food justice, sustainability, cooperative development, and English education across the Midwest and in Japan. Karen holds an M.S. in environmental policy and planning, an M.A. in international and regional studies from the University of Michigan, and a B.A. from Macalester College.

When she is not in the Saint Paul office, find her riding her bike, cooking Japanese food, or foraging for her next meal.
