Depending upon qualification and experience, we expect the hiring range for this position to be $24 to $26/hr. 

Primary Duties

The Program Coordinator will work with our team to ensure successful implementation of our market transformation lighting initiative. This initiative will include program planning, execution, and evaluation, and will work to transform lighting markets in Minnesota by increasing awareness and adoption of Luminaire Level Lighting Controls (LLLCs). This position will coordinate and facilitate program activities including training and outreach events, pilot installations, development of training and marketing materials, program deliverables, research projects, tours, and demonstrations. The ideal candidate will have: 

-Experience in program coordination

-Ability to learn quickly and take on diverse tasks to support the market transformation team’s programmatic efforts.

The position reports to the LLLC Initiative Manager and works closely internally with the Market Transformation department, as well as externally with local sales representative agencies, electrical contractors, utilities, electrical distributors, and partner organizations.  

Market Transformation Team:  

CEE launched a statewide Market Transformation Program in 2023, with committed and growing funding from the State of Minnesota and its utilities. This program accelerates and rapidly scales the development and adoption of emerging energy efficiency and decarbonization technologies. Focusing on one of the most promising technologies in the team’s portfolio, the LLLC initiative seeks to accelerate the adoption of light fixtures with integrated sensors and controls to streamline installations and increase connected lighting for a smarter built environment and to reduce strain on the electric grid. Led by an expert with hands-on experience in the industry, this initiative requires a Program Coordinator to deliver the planned interventions to achieve energy and carbon reductions in the state. 

Responsibilities:  

- With guidance, develop and maintain a variety of program tools, including but not limited to: marketing and training materials, user guides, operations manuals, contact lists, and engagement logs 
- Coordinate program-related events for stakeholders including meetings, conferences, workshops, and trainings 
- Carefully track outcomes of market engagement to demonstrate impact 
- Prepare materials for and help facilitate meetings for the initiative  
- Provide administrative support for initiative activities such as documenting notes and action items during meetings 
- Produce reports and materials on programmatic activities, including program and event schedules and evaluation results 
- Maintain program records and data 
- Produce documentation to aid stakeholders in implementing LLLC technology, systems, and installations 
- Contribute to program strategy and development 
- Provide support as needed to management team members in their programmatic efforts 

Experience

Qualifications/Job Requirements:   

- 2 or 4-year degree program in a related field or equivalent experience demonstrating clear & concise verbal and written communication skills 
- Ability to understand and communicate technical topics 
- Strong interpersonal skills 
- Ability to work with a broad range of stakeholders (architects, salespersons, data scientists, electricians, utilities etc.) 
- At least 2 years’ experience in a professional environment providing project support 
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team 
- Comfortable learning new skills and working in a dynamic environment where responsibilities may change 
- Interest in emerging technology and/or energy efficiency  
- Excellent computer literacy and keyboard skills 
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other related software 
- Experience with or willingness to learn project management and collaboration tools such as Asana, MURAL, etc. 

Preferred Qualifications:   

- Experience with construction or electrical industries 
- Experience with energy efficiency or related issue 
- Experience with Tableau, GIS, and/or other tools used to collect, interpret, and present data.
