CEE launched a statewide market transformation program, called ETA, in 2023, with committed and growing funding from the State of Minnesota and its utilities. This program accelerates the development and adoption of emerging energy efficiency technologies, bringing efficiency and electrification technologies and practices more rapidly to scale. CEE is building and expanding this dream team of talent to grow our market transformation program into a major new source of energy and carbon reduction in the state.

Depending upon qualification and experience, the salary range for this position is expected to be between $80-$85K. 

Primary Duties
  • Lead strategy development and marketing delivery to transform residential markets by rapidly scaling technologies that reduce energy consumption and carbon emissions.
  • Collaborate with program and marketing team to develop long term (5+year) and near term (annual) marketing strategies to spur early momentum in the market for assigned residential emerging technologies.
  • Gather information and insights on the technology, market, and customers of initiative technologies that currently include residential heat pumps and high-performance windows.
  • Provide marketing strategy insights to other team members working on residential marketing programs.
  • Partner with the commercial marketing team to cross pollinate strategies and marketing efforts.
  • Oversee marketing efforts from strategic concept to development, production, and analysis of results, providing direction to CEE’s designer, web specialist, and other team partners.
  • Utilize market intelligence and industry trends to establish and improve viable marketing strategies for current and future programs and projects.
  • Partner with market actors outside CEE such as manufacturers and distributors as well as efficiency organizations such as utilities, local governments, and state governments to leverage and pool resources, align strategies, and accelerate public and private partnerships.  
  • Use data analysis to measure the effectiveness of marketing campaigns providing actionable insights for continuous improvement.
  • Lead strategy to improve SEO for program websites’ development and maintenance.
  • Ensure brand consistency across initiatives and programs.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Experience
  • Undergraduate degree in Marketing or Communications or equivalent work experience.
  • 7+ years experience in similar role leading marketing strategies across numerous sectors and markets. Experience in consumer technology markets, working from the ground up on new initiatives or start-ups preferred.  
  • Supervisory and project leadership experience required.
  • Proven track record of insightful, creative, and innovative marketing approaches to rapidly accelerate adoption of new consumer technologies.    
  • Experience working with both internal and external stakeholders/subject matter experts to glean insights as well as form effective coalitions to advance shared market goals.  
  • Strong written, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills. 
  • Strong project management skills, including ability to manage, prioritize and organize multiple tasks. 
  • Preferred experience using Microsoft Office products; marketing automation and CRM tools such as HubSpot, Mailchimp, and Salesforce; Google Analytics 4 (GA4); Adobe Creative Cloud; and project management tools such as Asana.
  • An equivalent combination of education, experience and training that would provide the knowledge, skills and abilities required for the successful performance of the essential job duties will also be considered.
